A lifelong Nebraskan, I am proud to kickoff my re-election campaign for the University of Nebraska’s Board of Regents.

I am currently in my third term on the Board and remain as committed to making sure the University of Nebraska serves our state and it has always been my focus to ensure that quality higher education is affordable for Nebraska families.  As a member of the Board, I remain a clear voice for research and outreach programs that help Nebraskans build better lives through stronger communities.

Beyond my time with the Board, I am the Executive Director of the Center for Rural Affairs in Lyons, Nebraska.  I have been with the Center for over 33 years, where we continue to strengthen family farms, small businesses and rural communities.  Our work ranges from helping 10,000 rural small businesses get started and improve their profit margins, to advocating for policy reform in both Lincoln and Washington D.C., in a shared effort to create a better future for rural America.  I have also co-chaired the USDA Agricultural Science and Technology Review Board.

I am a University of Nebraska graduate and a native of Platte Center, Nebraska where my family is engaged in farming. Today, I reside in Lyons, Nebraska with my wife and two sons, the oldest, is enrolled in his sophomore year at the University in Lincoln.

It has been an honor serving on the Board of Regents.  I thank you for visiting the website, if you have any questions or wish to assist the campaign, feel free to contact me any time.

Sincerely,
